Photo Atelier was founded in 2023 with a basic idea: providing straightforward, high-quality, experience-based photography courses accessible to all, led and designed by professionals from the contemporary artistic field of photography. We are proud to present our instructors with the highest standards in photography education: Max Pinckers (BE, 1988) and Mathieu Asselin (FR/VEN, 1973), two acclaimed documentary photographers, artists, and educators. Pinckers holds a Ph.D. in the Arts and has over eight years of experience teaching photography, and Asselin has an MA in photography and is specialized in long-term critically engaged documentary photography. Both are lecturers at The School of Arts/KASK in Ghent and have conducted numerous workshops internationally over the past ten years.
